Drafted part blank cut templates and finished last tail shaping form

· Horizontal Tail · 4.00 hours

Remade the last horizontal tail shaping form. Then I coating the edges of the curved forms with several coats of a 50% cut of shellac. I read online that this was a good way to harden HDF without damaging its composition or dimension. I'm wanting to experiment to see if this helps them hold up better around the nose tips for when I get to wing ribs that require a lot of copies. Otherwise, today another maker told me that superglue is a well proven method of hardening HDF, so I'll plan to try that on shaping form as well to compare.

Then I drafted the part blank cut templates on cardstock off of the pattern blocks for all the horizontal tail ribs.
